Attorney Thomas J. Henry Reacts to News of Death of Father Virgilio Elizondo

SAN ANTONIO, TX (March 15, 2016) — Thomas J. Henry, the attorney representing John Doe in a lawsuit against Father Virgilio Elizondo, reacts to the news of Father Elizondo’s death.

“The death of Father Elizondo is unfortunate,” Thomas J. Henry stated. “Father Elizondo was sued alongside a Father Dominguez, who is currently a fugitive that fled to Mexico, after being charged with multiple counts of sexual assaults against minors in California. Our client, John Doe, has alleged that after being sexually assaulted by Father Dominguez, he confided in Father Elizondo while he was a minor, who then attempted to molest John Doe as well.”

John Doe was an orphan at the time of these events and was being sheltered at a center affiliated with the Archdiocese of San Antonio.

Thomas J. Henry added, “The next stage in this litigation was discovery production and the taking of depositions. The taking of Father Elizondo’s deposition could have led us to the truth regarding his actions, and his untimely death at this juncture raises even more questions. We will continue to seek and uncover the facts of this matter.”

Thomas J. Henry Injury Attorneys filed a lawsuit in the case in Bexar County in 2015.

Nike unveiled their new Jordan Sportswear collection featuring photos of Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard.

KAWHI LEONARD AND THE AIR JORDAN XXX

The website update, which occurred this week, features Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard modeling the new Jordan spring collection, including the Air Jordan XXX.

Fans may remember Leonard’s February 14 NBA All-Star Game performance, during which he scored 17 points and won six rebounds while wearing a pair of the newly released sneakers.

This was followed up by the first-time All-Star taking part in a photo shoot wearing a never before seen pair of Air Jordan XIII Lows, which collectors are hoping will hit the market this year.

Sneakerheads may also recall Leonard playing in a pair of PE XIII Lows early last year; unfortunately, that pair was never released to mass market.

OTHER PRODUCTS FEATURED IN LEONARD’S SHOOT

In addition to the highly sought Air Jordan XXX, Leonard brought the public’s attention the Jordan 23 Lux Extended Tee, the modern-designed Jordan Horizon sneakers, the Air Jordan Knit City Pants, and the Air Jordan Jacket.

The new collection and Leonard’s shoot can be seen by visiting the Jordan Sportswear website.

ABOUT ELF LOUISE CHRISTMAS PRJOECT

The project began in 1969 when our founder, Louise Locker, was a student at Trinity University in San Antonio. She found that for many San Antonio families, Christmas just did not exist. Louise began to look for a way to provide a few Christmas presents to some of these children. That first year, with the help of a friend, she collected gifts for children in 13 families. From that Christmas forward, the organization has been nothing short of a holiday miracle for the San Antonio area!

The Elf Louise Christmas Project is a 501 (C) (3) Non-profit organization staffed by all volunteers and funded by donations only. 98 cents of each dollar donated goes directly to the purchase and delivery of the toys.

The Elf Louise Christmas Project relies solely on the help of donations from grass roots San Antonio and from businesses that want to share their blessings at Christmas. People can also donate toys, but since Elf Louise needs over 60,000 gifts annually, we have to purchase many of them to meet the need of over 19,000 families. Their current budget is over $316,000. Those donations ARE 100% deductible.

Thomas J. Henry Works with Texas Lawmakers to Protect the Privacy of All Texas Citizens

AUSTIN, Texas (July 31, 2015)–Thomas J. Henry recently worked aside Texas lawmakers to close a loophole which allowed anyone to access accident reports. Under old legislation, complete strangers and potential identity theives could pull multiple accident reports at a time, giving them access to an alarming amount of personal information.

In addition to information about the accident, reports taken by police also include the personal information of individuals involved. This includes:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Home address
  • Driver’s license number

None of this information is redacted when an accident report is requested and obtained.

Under the new legislation, made effective June 18, access to accident reports is limited to those directly involved in the accident and their legal representatives. This restricted access means your personal data is better protected, significantly reducing the risk of identity theft.

While you might not realize it, identity theft can occur if a thief obtains your driver’s license number. In fact, theIdentity Theft Resource Center in San Diego states that identity thieves commonly stage auto accidents in order to get this information.

If paired with additional information exposed in another identity breach, such as those recently experienced by Target and Home Depot, the identity thief would be able to open new lines of credit under your name, apply for housing, and even access your bank accounts and medical records.

Experts point out that information obtained from large breaches is commonly shared and sold though online black markets. As such, combining the bits of information is not only plausible – it is also relatively easy.

A Memorial Day Message from Thomas J. Henry

Hello everyone,

Memorial Day is a day to celebrate being an American, a holiday to spend with family and friends. But it is also much more than that- it is an opportunity to remember those who fought bravely for our country and who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
As Memorial Day approaches, I want to personally thank every one of you who has served, or whose spouse or family member has served, in the military. Memorial Day is a time to remember our fallen and to thank all who have served and sacrificed for our country.

As Americans, we owe our liberty and freedom to those who fight bravely on our behalf…and we owe the greatest debt of gratitude to those who never make it home. This weekend’s celebration is dedicated to those heroes. Let’s all take a moment to remember our fallen service members and their families.

Celebrate safely and enjoy and have a great Memorial Day weekend.
-Thomas J. Henry
