- Do not alter evidence.
- Do not turn over any evidence to Harley Davidson.
- Do not give any recorded or written statement to Harley Davidson, insurance company, or anyone else.
About the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Recall
According to the official recall notice, the rear brake light switch may be exposed to excessive heat from the exhaust which can either cause the brake lights not to turn on, or cause them to turn on when the brakes are not being pressed. Heat from the exhaust can also cause brake fluid to leak at the break light switch, causing partial or complete brake failure. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) warns that any of these conditions can increase the possibility of a motorcycle crash.
