Companies and Their Dangerous Products
Every year thousands of people are injured or even killed in the United States due to defective products.
In fact, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), a government agency charged with putting forth regulations and standards to keep consumers safe, estimates deaths, injuries, and property damage from consumer product incidents cost more than $700 billion each year.
The problems arise when companies fail to comply with the safety regulations. In turn, the products become dangerous and even life threatening. Fortunately, the law holds companies involved in the chain of manufacturing and distribution of any product responsible for any injuries or damages caused by that product. This includes manufacturers, distributors, retailers, repairers, assemblers, component suppliers, and testing laboratories.
Product liability cases are often difficult when it comes to proving liability. These cases can be complex and require plenty of resources in order for a client's rights to be protected. Thomas J. Henry has the experience and resources necessary. He has a long track record of successfully representing individuals who have been harmed by defective products.
