1 Dead, 1 Injured in Haltom City Building Accident
About the North Texas Building Collapse
According to KDFW-TV, a worker was killed and another worker was injured while completing renovations at a vacant warehouse-type building in Haltom City, Texas, about five miles northeast of Fort Worth.
Police responded to the accident Thursday morning to find that part of the building's second story had collapsed onto the first floor.
One worker was pronounced dead at the scene while the second was treated at the site and released.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the collapse.
