1 Dead, 2 Injured in Jackson Heights Auto Accident

Authorities are investigating a fatal accident in Jackson Heights that left one person dead and two others injured Monday evening.

Details of the Jackson Heights Crash

According to the Tyler Morning Telegraph, 36-year-old Jerry Howell of Tyler, Texas was pronounced dead at the scene following a two car collision on Texas Highway 31.

Preliminary reports from the Department of Public Safety indicate that the collision occurred when a Chevrolet pickup lost control at the intersection of Highway 31 and County Road 246 and struck Howell’s Dodge Avenger.

The driver of the pickup, 27-year-old Adam Hotaling, and Howell’s passenger, 38-year-old Wendy Howell, were both transported to East Texas Medical Center for treatment. Hotaling has since been released – Wendy Howell is listed in stable condition.
