Officials Investigate Hayride Accident

The Associated Press reports that investigators are inspecting the Jeep as they attempt to determine what prevented the vehicle from stopping on the hill. Police are also working to calculate the passengers’ combined weight to determine if the wagon was overloaded.

The driver of the Jeep, David Brown, 54, is said to be an experienced truck driver who has a commercial driver’s license.

Authorities are also looking at mechanical problems as a contributing factor in the accident.
