1 Dead, 5 Injured in Nacogdoches Accident

A woman was killed and five others, including two children, were injured Sunday evening after two vehicles collided on FM 941 near Nacogdoches.

Details of the Nacogdoches Accident

According to KETK, the collision occurred around 6:35 pm about eight miles north of Nacogdoches.

Reports indicate that a Cadillac was traveling south in the northbound lane of 941 when it collided head-on with a Volkswagen. The driver of the Cadillac, William Morris, 82, was taken to a Nacogdoches hospital for treatment. His passenger, Oweeda Morris, 78, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Volkswagen, 51-year-old Lisa Owens, and her three passengers, 25-year-old Heather Owens, 5-year-old Nathaniel Troxell, and 2-year-old Allyson Troxell were also taken to the hospital for treatment.

The crash is still under investigation.
