An ABC affiliate has reported that an accident involving a Disney Bus has left one Florida motorist dead and two other individuals injured.

Details of the Disney Bus Accident

“The back portion of the Buick is smashed up almost to the back of her seat. The crush damage is significant. This is a severe impact.” – Sgt. Kim Montes as published by WFTV Orlando

  • The accident occurred when a Disney bus collided with a 1996 Buick sedan Friday afternoon, killing the Buick’s driver, Solange Blaine.
  • According to authorities, the Buick was stopped in the left lane of the road possibly due to mechanical problems.
  • Disney has confirmed that Ms. Blaine was an employee at a nearby Disney resort.
  • A teenager and an infant were transported to Celebration Hospital due to injuries they suffered as a result of the collision.

Disney's Magical Express Bus

  • According to the Associated Press, the bus is part of Disney’s Magical Express, a service operated by Mears Transportation that shuttles guests between the airport and the resort.
  • At the time of the accident, the bus was carrying 36 passengers.
  • Police are investigating whether or not the bus was speeding at the time of the collision.
