1 Dead in Carlsbad Industrial Accident
A worker at an oil rig site in Eddy County was killed Monday after being struck by a steel pipe.
Details of the Fatal Rig Accident
According to the Albuquerque Journal, 25-year-old German Caballero of Kermit, Texas was fatally injured when he was struck by a steep pipe that fell while being moved from a well at a rig site near Carlsbad, New Mexico.
The Eddy County Sheriff’s Office stated the incident occurred around 4:30 pm at a site on County Road 725, also called Longhorn Road.
The industrial accident remains under investigation.
