1 Dead in Corpus Christi Collision

Police have confirmed that one person has died as a result of a two-car collision that occured near the intersection of 19th Street and Agnes in Corpus Christi, Texas Monday morning.

Details of the Fatal Accident

KRIS-TV reports 85-year-old Jose Alvarez Soliz was fatally injured when his Nissan was struck by a Ford that lost control on Agnes Street near Cash America Pawn.

The collision caused the Nissan to veer into the pawn shop’s parking lot where it flipped after striking a barrier, Soliz was killed on impact.

The two occupants of the Ford were uninjured in the accident.

Police are still investigating the accident – no citations have been issued.
