1 Dead in Norwalk Bus Accident

The driver of a coach bus was fatally injured on Wednesday when a bus crashed into a tractor-trailer on Interstate 29 in Norwalk, Connecticut.

About the Bus Accident

According to the Connecticut Post, 31-year-old Henry Woolfson died when his tour bus rear-ended a truck by Exit 14. Woolfson was trapped in the bus following the collision and it took roughly 15 minutes for responders to extract him.

Woolfson was rushed to Norwalk Hospital where he was pronounced dead. According to officials, 19 bus passengers were hurt, but their injuries were non-life-threatening. All of the passengers were adults.

Trooper First Class Kelly Grant said they would have more focused patrols and that police presence in the area. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the Connecticut State Police.
