According to the Houston Chronicle, police are still working to identify the school bus involved in the accident.

The bus was traveling north on Hansen Road when it went to turn east onto Airport Boulevard. The bus struck 56-year-old Bobby Brooks who was riding south on Hansen Road.

Second Houston School Bus Accident in Two Months

Another school bus incident occurred two months ago when a private school bus that was being operated by an unregistered company slammed into a tree in a west Houston neighborhood.

More than a dozen Revere Middle School students were injured in the accident which occurred only 2 miles from the middle school campus.

The company’s registration had been previously revoked in 2009 when it was determined that the company was not insured. An Identification number on the bus was linked to a different company than the operating firm.
