Ore Adeyinka5 months ago

At least one person has been pronounced dead and several others are injured after a trucking accident in Orange County on Wednesday afternoon.

About the Orange County Trucking Accident

According to ABC7NY News, the accident occurred just before 12:30p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-84 near exit 5 in Montgomery. Authorities say that the vehicles involved were two tractor-trailers and four cars.

The exact numbers of injured people are unknown, but police have confirmed at least one fatality. They also reported that two patients had to be airlifted to an area hospital.

It is believed that speed was a factor in the incident as one of the trucks entered a construction zone where the lanes narrowed from four to two. However, the cause of the accident is still under investigation.

The crash took place a few miles east of where a multiple-vehicle crash shut down I-84’s westbound lanes for a total of four hours on Monday.
