1 Killed, 4 Injured in Liberty Accident

On Tuesday, May 6, 2015 in Liberty, Texas, a car accident on Highway 146 injured at least four and killed one.

Details of the Fatal Liberty Crash

According to KHOU, a pregnant woman and her two children were heading northbound in a red Jeep a black Jeep turned left in front of her to turn into a convenience store. The impact caused the red Jeep to flip over on top of the black Jeep.

Life Flight rushed the pregnant woman and her children to Memorial Hermann Hospital. A 21-year-old passenger in the black Jeep was killed, and two boys riding in the back were critically injured. They remain at Memorial Hermann Hospital.

The driver of the black Jeep was taken to Conroe Regional Hospital.

According to DPS Trooper Erik Burse, the accident happened around 11 a.m. at 33434 State Highway 146. DPS investigators are working with the Liberty County District Attorney to determine if charges will be filed.
