14 Injured in Greenwich School Bus Crash

Thirteen high school students and a bus driver, 74, were injured in a school bus accident along Stanwich Road in Greenwich, Connecticut Wednesday.

About the Greenwich School Bus Accident

According to the Greenwich Time, the small bus was travelling north along Stanwich Road when, for an unknown reason, the driver swerved across the left lane and off the road before colliding with a large tree.

Police and emergency crews responded to the accident at 3:01 pm and shut down a half-mile stretch of road between Orchard Street and Jeffrey Road.

Several of the passengers suffered significant injuries including broken bones, hip fractures and head trauma. Eight students and the bus driver were rushed to the Stamford Hospital Emergency Room for treatment.
