14-Year-Old Girl Hit by Deputy Constable

A 14-year-old girl was injured Friday after being struck by a Fort Bend County deputy constable as she rode her bicycle.

About the Fort Bend Accident

According to the Houston Chronicle, the teenager was riding her bicycle when she was struck by a Fort Bend County deputy constable at 6:30 a.m. on Friday, April 11th.

The accident occurred in the Katy, Texas area on Gaston near Fry Road. The girl sustained head injuries and was transported to Memorial-Hermann – The Texas Medical Center.

She is a freshman at Seven Lakes High School, though her name and current condition have not yet been released.

The deputy constable was on duty and driving a marked pickup truck at the time of the accident. He did not sustain any injuries.

Investigators have not yet determined how the accident occurred, and an investigation is ongoing.
