USA Today reports that at least 18 girls from a private school in Kansas City, Missouri were injured after the school bus they were travelling on lost control and rolled in Bonner Springs, Kansas.

  • The school bus was carrying 36 female students from Pembroke Hill School in Kansas City, Missouri to a camp retreat in Kansas.
  • The bus was being followed by another bus carrying male students not involved in the crash.
  • According to reports, the bus was traveling too fast when it lost control on a curve ramp in Bonner Springs, Kansas, about 18 miles from Kansas City.
  • After losing control, the bus slid down the highway embankment and began to roll.
