Details of the Fatal Tent Collapse
According to FOX News, the incident occurred around 5:30 pm ET as a severe storm through Lancaster, New Hampshire.
New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan activated the New Hampshire Emergency Operations Center in response to the incident, and disaster response crews were dispatched to the area.
It is estimated that 100 people were in the tent when it collapsed. Officials confirmed that 15 people were transported to area hospitals via ambulance; however, an unconfirmed number of people also drove themselves to medical centers.

Second Tent Disaster in Two Days
The Lancaster collapse comes a day after a Illinois incident in which one man was killed and a dozen others were injured.
In that collapse, tent occupants had sought shelter under the structure as a brief blew though a Chicago suburb during an annual celebration known as Prairie Fest.
Both incidents are under investigation.
