2 Dead 4 Injured in Houston Toll Plaza Accident

Two are dead and another four have been hospitalized after a dump truck crashed into multiple vehicles at the North Beltway 8 toll plaza in Houston, Texas.

About the Fatal Houston Accident

  • According to KHOU-TV, the driver of a Global Waste Services dump truck apparently lost control and struck an extended cab carrying four passengers before colliding with a gold Honda carrying a Harris County deputy constable and his wife, then a white pick-up, and finally a concrete barrier.
  • Upon striking the barrier the dump truck was engulfed in flames which quickly spread to the gold Honda.
  • Both the driver of the dump truck and the driver of the pick-up were pronounced dead at the scene.
  • The deputy constable and his wife were rushed to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
  • Two of the four passengers in the white extended cab have also been hospitalized, though their condition and injuries are currently unknown.
