2 Dead in Houston Drunk Driving Accident

Two women were killed early Monday morning after their vehicle was struck head-on by a suspected drunk driver in north Houston.

Details of the Fatal Houston Collision

The Houston Chronicle reports that the deadly crash occurred around 2:30 am Monday on Interstate 610 near Irvington.

Preliminary reports indicate that a silver Ford sedan was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of 610 when it slammed into a Chevrolet Cobalt, killing two of the Cobalt’s occupants. The third occupant of the Cobalt, believed to be the driver, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries – fire fighters who responded to the scene said he appeared intoxicated.

Authorities are continuing investigations into the accident.
