Washington authorities believe alcohol was a factor in a head-on collision that left two dead and four others injured last Monday night.

About the Washington Accident

On Tuesday, the Washington State Patrol delivered a report stating that two teens were killed and four others were injured in a car accident late Monday evening.

According to Reuters, two vehicles traveling on opposite sides of the road simultaneously crossed the center dividing line and collided.

One of the vehicles was a SUV being driven by an 18-year-old male that had five other passengers in the vehicle. Both the driver of the SUV and a passenger were pronounced dead on the scene. Another 18-year-old male had to be flown to Seattle Hospital, and the others were treated at local hospitals.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 36-year-old man, was arrested on site under suspicion that he was intoxicated.  There is no clear cause as to what made both vehicles cross the center line.
