2-Year-Old Injured After Falling From Second-Story Window
Passerby Finds Injured Child
According to the Chicago Tribune, the incident was reported to police by a passerby who found the on the lying in a grassy area, crying. The boy’s parents were inside the apartment sleeping.
The child was immediately transported to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was listed in critical condition. He has since been transferred to Lurie Children’s Hospital and has been upgraded to serious condition.
Reports indicate the child fell about 18 feet to the ground below. The fall appears to be an accident.
