Two brothers, 4-year-old Dylan Riel and 1-year-old Jayce Riel, were killed in a car crash on Route 20 in Brimfield, Massachusetts last Friday.

About the Fatal Brimfield Collision

According to the San Antonio Express News, the victims passengers in a 2010 Honda Civic that was headed eastbound along Route 20 when swerved to the right to avoid a truck making a left turn.

The car hit a guardrail, crossed the center line, and struck a Ford Expedition before crashing head-on into a 2009 Honda Civic going westbound.

The boys’ 21-year-old aunt, who was driving, and another 4-year-old child in the vehicle have been hospitalized with serious injuries but are expected to survive.  An adult and a child in the other Honda Civic were also hurt.  The driver and two children in the Ford Expedition were not injured.

There have been no charges filed and police do not think alcohol was a factor.
