Three people were killed in a head-on collision near Tyler, Texas late Sunday evening.

Details of the Fatal Tyler Crash

According to the Tyler Morning Telegraph, the fatal collision occurred about four miles north of Tyler on Texas Highway 10.

Officials stated a 2008 Lincoln MKZ was attempting to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone when it collided head-on with a 1995 Infinity.

The driver of the Lincoln, Roderick Darryl Erwin, 39, and his two passengers, Latonya Hambrick, 34, and 3-year-old Jaiyen Erwin were killed in the crash.

The driver of the Infinity was transported to East Texas Medical center where he is listed in stable condition.
