3 Fatalities in Intersection Crash

On May 23rd, three people were killed in a crash outside of Dalas, Texas when a sport utility vehicle broadsided a pickup truck at a rural intersection.

Details about the Fatal Crash 

According to KWTX, the crash took place on Saturday May 23rd after 1:00 a.m. on Farm Road 664 at Batchler Road near Red Oak, roughly 20 miles south of Dallas.

The DPS reported that Juan Mancilla, 19, was driving the SUV – his borther Jose Mancilla, 21, was a passenger in the SUV. Ethan Woods, 19, was driving the pickup truck and had a passenger identified as Hunter Manley, 19, with him during the crash.

Mancilla of Red Oak ran a stop sign on Batchler Road and slammed into Woods’ pickup truck. With the exception of Hunter Manley, everyone in the crash died.

DPS Trooper James Colunga reports that the SUV driven by Mancilla did not have its headlights on.
