3 Injured in Connecticut Work Zone Crash

Three construction workers suffered injury when a tractor-trailer collided with their stationary work vehicles last Monday morning, NBC Connecticut reports.

Details of the Accident  

Massachusetts man, Leon Worchester, was driving his tractor-trailer when it veered into the breakdown lane and struck three parked construction vehicles. Construction workers were near the vehicles placing hazard signs on the road at the time of the crash.

Two men were able to jump over the highway guard rail prior to the truck impacting their vehicles; a third was knocked from the back of his truck and sustained a blow to the head.

All three men survived the incident and were treated for their injuries at a local hospital. Local authorities completed an investigation into the accident and the truck driver was charged with several moving violations.
