3 Killed in Ward County Accident

Authorities are investigating a fatal accident that left three people dead in Ward County.

Northbound Vehicle Enters Southbound Lane

NewsWest 9 reports a deadly car crash that took place last Saturday afternoon just before 5:45 p.m. in Ward County, left three individuals dead, and three others injured.

According to the DPS troopers, the Toyota Scion was traveling northbound on Highway 18, when the driver lost control during a curve, causing the car to exit the roadway and cross the northbound lane, entering the southbound lane.

Once on the southbound lane, the Toyota Scion crashed into a 2010 Toyota Corolla that was travelling southbound. 

Multiple Deaths & Injuries Report

The driver of the Scion, Rebecca Leigh Dugas, 37, was critically injured in the accident along with passenger Jordyan Dugas, 1, being seriously injured as well and taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock.

One passenger of the Scion, Eric Evans, 41, was unfortunately killed by the impact of the crash.

The driver of the Corolla, Jennifer Limon-Aguirre, 24, and passenger Janiyah Faith Limon, 3, were killed during the accident, and passenger Jett Liam Limon, who is nine months old, was taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock in critical condition.
