360 Electrical Surge Protectors Recalled-Shock and Fire Hazard

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has recalled over 360 Electrical surge protectors after it was discovered they pose a shock and fire hazard to consumers.

About the Recalled Surge Protectors

According to the CPSC, 360 Electrical has recalled over 9,000 surge protectors of Idealist, Idealist 2.4, and Agent models. The surge protectors can short circuit when non-grounded plugs are connected.

The units come in white or black and have 7 outlets and were sold at B&H Photo stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com and bhphotovideo.com.

Recalled units were sol between July 2015 and February 2016 for between $33 and $40.

What to do with Recalled Units?

  • The CPSC recommends that consumers stop using the product immediately.
  • Consumers should contact 360 Electrical for a free replacement.
