4 Dead in Austin Accident

Four people died on Sunday after a car crashed into building at the Arbor Walks Shopping Complex in Austin, Texas.

About the Austin Auto Accident

According to KHOU, dispatchers received calls about a car that drove off the overpass at State Highway Loop 360 and State Highway Loop 1 in north Austin around 5 am.

Preliminary investigations suggest the car hit the median before driving over the overpass edge and crashing into a building at the Arbor Walks Shopping Complex. The vehicle traveled 104 feet in the air before hitting Building B.

All four people inside the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. The victims were badly burned in the fire.

Due to the crash, many nearby businesses experienced power outages and had to close for the day. The Austin Police Department and AFD are still working to determine the cause of the car crash.
