4 Dead in Cedar Park Crash

Four people are dead after a vehicle crashed into a power pole in Cedar Park, Texas on Sunday

Details of the Fatal Crash

KXAN reports the crash occurred in the 1700 block of North Bell in Cedar Park around 4:17 a.m. According to Cedar Park police, the vehicle was driving north on Highway 183 when it swerved off the road and hit the pole. It is unknown why the vehicle went off the road.

The driver of the vehicle, Cristobal Guerrero, 20, is being treated for non-life threatening injuries; however, the four passengers of the vehicle died at the scene. They have been identified as Andres Godinez, 25; Mario Godinez, 19; Enrique Guerrero-Rodriguez, 30; and Roberto Guerrero, 29.

The crash also caused a minor power outage because of the damage to the power pole. Power has been restored to most of the people affected, according to Pedernales Electric.

Both north and southbound lanes were closed from New Hope to Thompson St. on North Bell while police conducted their investigation.

  • Vehicles with high occupancy (two or more occupants) are more likely to be involved in run of the road crashes as compared to the vehicles with drivers alone.
