Destiny Baker2 years ago

Three adults and a toddler were killed Monday evening in a collision along Highway 40 near Perryton, Texas.

Details of the Fatal Accident

According to the Amarillo Globe-News, the accident occurred around 5:35 pm when a 2012 Chevrolet Captiva crossed the median of the highway and struck a 2006 Ford F-250.

Reports indicate that the Captiva, driven by Manuel Jiminez, 32, was swerving prior to the accident. Jiminez then overcorrected, sending the Captiva into the opposing lane of traffic and the F-250.

Both vehicles came to rest in the bar ditch next to the highway. The F-250 had rolled, ending up on its roof, and the Captiva caught fire. Jiminez and his two passengers, Yaretzi Jiminiz, 2, and Eunice Jiminez, 24, were killed in the accident.

A passenger of the F-250, 19-year-old Rodrigo Cabrera, was also killed in the collision. The driver of the truck, Moises Ceniceros-Fraire, 34, was able to escape from the vehicle before it caught fire. He was transported to Ochiltree General Hospital.
