4 Injured in GM Plant Explosion

According to FOX News, four employees were injured on Tuesday, including one critically, following a chemical explosion at the General Motors metal-stamping plant in Marion, Indian.

About the General Motors Plant Explosion

Authorities believe that bromide and chlorine were involved in the plant explosion, but have yet to fully determine what events led to the incident.

In total, three of the workers have been hospitalized, with one listed in critical condition. The fourth was treated at the scene.

General Motors has stated that the situation is under control. The plant was evacuated.

  • In 2012, OSHA recorded 4,628 workplace fatalities.
