4 Killed in Suspected DWI Crash

Houston authorities are investigating a suspected drunk driving accident that left four people dead Sunday evening.

Details of the Fatal Houston Accident

According to the Houston Chronicle, police have arrested Million Zeghergis on four counts of intoxication manslaughter in connection to a fatal accident in southwest Harris County on Sunday.

Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office claim that Zeghergis was traveling eastbound on Beechnut St. in a black 2009 Dodge when he ran a red light and struck a black 2002 Honda Civic that was moving northbound on Synott Rd around 10 pm.

The Honda’s driver, Devendraprasad Patel, and three of the vehicle’s passengers, Kokila Patel, Ansuyaben Patel, and Jayanthilal Bhat, were pronounced dead at the scene.

A fourth passenger was rushed to Memorial Hermann hospital; their identity and condition have not been released.

Deputies arrested Zeghergis on Monday – investigations are still underway.
