5 Injured, 1 Critically, In Bexar County Crash

A Somerset police office was listed in critical condition Tuesday after being airlifted from a three-vehicle crash that left four other people injured.

Details of the Bexar County Crash

According to the San Antonio Express-News, the accident occurred around 11:30 when the officer’s SUV was t-boned by a GMC truck on Loop 1604 at Benton City Road. The officer was reportedly giving a courtesy ride to a man.

The police SUV then spun across the highway before colliding with a pickup hauling a trailer.

The four passengers of the GMC truck were transported to area hospitals by ambulance. The officer was flown from the scene via helicopter.

The occupants of the second pickup were not injured, and the officer’s passenger received only minor injuries.
