According to Autoblog, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating ARC Automotive Inc. after it was discovered several of their airbags caused accident-related deaths.

About the ARC Automative Airbag Investigation

The airbags are found in GM, FCA, Hyundai, and Kia vehicles. All four automakers are working with the investigators.

The airbags in question share many qualities with Takata airbags, such as ammonium nitrate propellants. Takata has been at the center of one of the largest recalls of all time as 11 deaths have been linked to Takata-brand airbags.

Thus far, two people have been injured by the airbags, and one death has been linked to the ARC Automotive airbags.
