9-Year-Old Killed in Hunterdon County ATV Accident
Details of the ATV Accident
According to the Daily Record, Gavin Martuccio was riding a Suzuki 250CC ATV at a property in the 900 block of Route 519 when he was ejected from the vehicle and struck a piece of farm equipment.
Authorities responded to the incident shortly after 4:30 pm and administered CPR to Martuccio. The young boy was rushed to Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township for treatment, but he was pronounced dead at 5:53 pm.
Reports indicate that while Martuccio was wearing a helmet when the accident happened, he was riding an ATV designed for much older, experienced riders.
