AAA’s Tipsy Tow Available in San Antonio

Nick Slovikoski11 months ago

As always, authorities encourage those who plan on drinking alcoholic beverages as they ring in 2016 to designate a driver to get them home safely.

According to KSAT, AAA Texas, as well as many other states, are once again offering a Tipsy Tow service. They will take drivers and their vehicles home free of charge up to 10 miles. Normal tow charges will be assessed for any trip exceeding 10 miles.

Things to Remember When Calling Tipsy Tow

AAA would like to remind everyone that Tipsy Tow is not available in the following situations:

  • The towing of a malfunctioning or inoperable vehicle.
  • The towing of a vehicle to another drinking establishment or any other location other than the owner’s residence or hotel.
  • A request to start a vehicle, change a flat tire or deliver gas.

You do not need to be a AAA member to take advantage of the Tipsy Tow. Call 1-800-222-4357 to use the service.
