Ala. Driver Killed in Fiery Collision with Tractor-Trailer

Three vehicles were involved in a fatal accident along I-65 near Creola, Ala. on Thursday afternoon, according to Fox 10 news.

Details of the Fatal Tractor-Trailer Accident

Alabama State Troopers say the collision occurred at approximately 2 p.m. on Thursday afternoon at mile marker 27 on I-65 just miles north of Creola, Ala. A 2007 Freightliner tractor-trailer was struck from behind by a car while crossing the General W.K. Wilson Jr. Bridge. The car burst into flames as a result of the impact, and the vehicle’s driver was killed.

The identification of the deceased driver is pending identification. The driver of the Freightliner was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A third vehicle was also struck by flying debris; that driver sustained minor injuries.

Alabama State Troopers are still investigating the accident.
