Details about the Fatal Pedestrian Accident

News 10 Albany is reporting that police in Colonie have stated that they have begun investigating an accident in which a pedestrian was killed near the intersection of Central Avenue and Tull Drive.

According to police, the woman was carrying recyclables across Central Avenue when she was hit by two different vehicles. Police responded to the scene of the accident at about 7:17 a.m. on Tuesday morning. The first vehicle hit the woman in the left lane, throwing the woman into the right lane where she was hit by another vehicle.

Both speed and alcohol have been ruled out by the police, and authorities are still working to identify the woman. The traffic investigation unit is currently working to figure out the circumstance and the cause of the accident.
