American Regent Recalls Injectable Meds
American Regent is recalling Phenylephrine HCl Injection, Lot #0693 due to the presence of visible particles. According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), visible particles found in the drug may cause disruption of blood flow, inflammation, and granuloma formation.
Description of Recalled Drugs
- The recalled drug is Phenylephrine HCl injection, used to maintain blood pressure levels during anesthesia or to treat vascular failure.
- The recalled drug comes in a 5mL vial and is part of Lot #0693.
