America’s Most Dangerous Roads

susan_harr5 years ago

With an average of 6 million auto accidents occurring every year, we all know our chances of getting into a car crash are high. According to newly released data from the National Highway Traffic Administration (NHTSA), 6,618 people have already died as a result of these accidents since January 2011.

What may come as a surprise, however, is our chances of getting into a wreck are higher on some roads than on others. Using five years of crash data and fatality records, Dateline NBC compiled a list of the nation’s most dangerous roads for auto accidents.
