Arizona Man Dead After Rollover in California

A California man died on Sunday in a rollover accident in Winchester – the man was not wearing his seat belt.

The Press Enterprise is reporting that a 51-year-old man that died in a rollover accident in Winchester was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.

The driver, Gary Salveson of Bullhead City, Arizona, was traveling north on Borel Road in a 2005 Kia Sorento on Sunday when, for an unknown reason, the Sorento left the roadway. Salveson then lost control of the SUV, flipped over, and landed in a dirt ravine.

Highway Patrol Officer Mike Lassig said that the Highway Patrol is still trying to work out why Salveson left the roadway in the first place.

Since there were no witnesses to the accident, Lassig said officers are also trying to figure out the speed in which the man was traveling. The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident a little bit after officers arrived at the scene on Sunday morning.

The California Highway Patrol was notified of the accident by another driver that was traveling by.
