Asheville Man Dies in Pedestrian Accident

Asheville man has died after being hit by a pickup truck; no charges have been filed.

About the Asheville Accident

According to the Citizen-Times, 47-year-old Paul Travis Shaible was killed last Sunday after being hit by a 1988 Ford pickup truck in Asheville, North Carolina.

Shaible was reportedly crossing Broadway Street near the University of North Carolina campus at around 10 p.m. when he was struck.

The pickup truck crossed through the intersection on a green light and hit Shaible. Shaible was pronounced dead at Mission Hospital soon after.

An investigation is ongoing, although authorities do not believe charges will be filed. Shaible’s friends and family remember him as a wonderful person and friend.
