At Least 7 Injured in New Jersey Home Explosion
Officials believe residents may have been hurt, but do not know how many.
Details of the New Jersey Explosion
According to WABC, the blast occurred around 1 pm in a condominium development along Crockett Lane in Ewing Township, roughly 10 miles from Trenton.
Early reports indicate that PSE&G had responded to a report of a gas line broken by a contractor in the area shortly before noon leading to speculation that the explosion may have been linked.
One person has been listed in critical condition while others suffered head injuries, respiratory injuries and various fractures.
Emergency crews are conducting house-to-house searches and visiting area hospitals as they attempt to identify any additional victims.
At least one home was completely destroyed. A nearby apartment complex also sustained damage including broken windows.
