At Least Two Dead after Houston Collision

At least two people are dead and another is seriously injured following an early morning collision at the intersection of FM 1960 and Wortham Boulevard in northwest Houston, Texas on Friday.

About the Fatal Houston Accident

According to ABC, a motorist traveling eastbound along FM 1960 in a Volkswagen pulled in front of an oncoming Camaro while attempting to make a left turn into a parking lot. The driver of the Volkswagen was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene.

The Camaro came to rest after striking a utility pole, reports indicate that the male passenger of the Camaro was pronounced dead at the scene while the female driver was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital. The woman is listed in critical condition.

Deputies suspect that both drivers were intoxicated at the time of the accident and believe speed was likely a contributing factor. The accident occurred shortly before 3 am.
