Mr. McCluan received his Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law. He also holds a bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas. Prior to law school, Mr. McCluan served as a lieutenant and later as a communications officer in the United States Navy. As an officer, his responsibilities included performing top secret security clearance and creating visual and electronic communications. He also coordinated with shipyard maintenance activity to source firewatch personnel from the ship’s crew.

After completing several years of service, Mr. McCluan left the Navy and worked as a contract manager at Adecco Technical. There, he coordinated the finance, sales, and proposals teams by providing them with product overviews and negotiating terms for purchase and installation, among other things.

Mr. McCluan began his professional career in 2008 at a local law office. Working as a contract attorney, he reviewed defendants’ annual reports and deposition testimonies and located information in support of motions. He worked in this position for three years before transferring to a law office in Austin, where he spent the next eight years as a successful attorney.

Outside of the office, Mr. McCluan enjoys biking, cooking, and playing volleyball.
