Amber Petrig, Esq.

Ms. Amber Petrig, Esq. earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of Akron School of Law. She also holds a Master of Laws from The University of Akron School of Law as well as a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University.
Ms. Petrig previously interned with Equality Ohio where she advocated for equal protection for LGBT+ citizens in the legislature. She also assisted in researching American legal and civil rights history with work culminating in a class on the intersection of the topics and advocated for clients on a global scale by assisting with policy briefs for international organizations.
She began representing clients in personal injury matters soon after acquiring her Texas bar admission.
Ms. Petrig became an attorney to help people, especially those from working-class families like her own who may otherwise have trouble being heard in and out of court. She is a first-generation lawyer.
Ms. Petrig’s family has a long history of military service that stretches back to the Civil War. She is the daughter of an Army veteran, her brother serves as an Army officer, and her grandfather is a retired Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy. Her grandmother served with the Peace Corps. Ms. Petrig’s mother is a first-generation college graduate, and her both of her parents instilled in her a strong work ethic.
Ms. Petrig has lived in areas across the county, including Evansville, Indiana; Boston, Massachusetts; Akron, Ohio; and Austin, Texas. As such, she can understand a wide variety of points of view
Ms. Petrig is a foodie, and her hobbies include hiking, camping, and exploring nature in the company of her dog, Rex. She enjoys all forms of live music and film, and she is an avid reader. Her favorite film is Breakfast at Tiffany’s and her favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut.
Oner her days off, Ms. Petrig can often be found hiking various trails in Austin with her dog in tow.
