Destiny Wells

Ms. Destiny Wells, a native of Beaumont, Texas, learned the importance of education and hard work from her parents Larry and Marion Wells. Ms. Wells graduated cum laude from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas with a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. Immediately upon graduating from Sam Houston State University, Ms. Wells attended the Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and obtained her Juris Doctor degree.

While in law school, Ms. Wells had the pleasure of exploring various areas of the legal field. Ms. Wells served as a Legal Intern for the nation’s largest organization for corporate in-house women of color attorneys who work for Fortune 1000 and Forbes 2000 Legal Departments and an intern for the Louisiana 1^st Circuit Court of Appeals. As a Student Attorney at the Southern University Law Center, Ms. Wells had the opportunity to represent indigent clients charged with misdemeanor and low-level felonies during all stages of their criminal case, oversee mediations, and help small business owners properly operate their businesses under Louisiana law. Ms. Wells’ experience in these areas has allowed her to become well-rounded in the legal field and has given her the ability to effectively deduct simplicities from complex legal matters.

Outside of being an attorney, Ms. Wells is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. In her spare time, Ms. Wells loves to spend time with her dog, Onyx, and travel.
