Ed “Muscle” Russell

As a former scientist and Captain with the United States Air Force, Mr. Ed “Muscle” Russell served in Iraq and is a DOD certified flight test engineer on the B-1 Bomber. Mr. Russel was Captain of the Air Force Research Lab’s Team of the Year, in 2008 and 2009. After launching the 1st international hypersonic rocket in history, Mr. Russell left the service to take on program management for the state of Hawaii’s Hydrogen Fleet Vehicle Program in 2012. Mr. Russell is DOD certified in Program Management.
In 2015, Mr. Russell’s mother became unwell. Moving back to Texas to care for his mother, Mr. Russell was accepted to study law at St. Mary’s University. While at St. Mary’s, Mr. Russell pioneered the first-of-its-kind Intellectual Property Concentration. Now under consideration at St. Mary’s as an official certification program, the IP course load included 30 additional hours in Chemistry. Mr. Russell was also an advocate on the International Moot Court Team. As Captain, he took the team to regionals in 2019, taking home a writing award for best brief.
After the bar exam, Mr. Russell began raising chickens in his back yard. For the past 9 months, Mr. Russell has been practicing Patent and Trademark law at Hanor Law Firm. As such, Mr. Russell was recently certified to practice in U.S. District Court, in the Western District of Texas. Due to COVID-19, Mr. Russell is still awaiting on taking his oath in front of Hon. Judge Biery. After serving in the military, Mr. Russell recognizes a well-run organization and is excited to continue his journey in the law under the mentorship of Thomas J Henry.
