Jeff Hohl

Attorney at Thomas J. Henry Law's San Antonio Office

Mr. Jeff Hohl was a Prosecutor in Montgomery County from 2011 until early 2018. Working for the District Attorney’s Office for seven years has provided him with the opportunity to review hundreds of cases, negotiate pleas and try many misdemeanor and felony cases to verdict in front of a jury. During his time at the Office, he was a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children task force, Public Integrity Unit, Misdemeanor Trial Bureau, Felony Trial Bureau and the Special Victims Division. After leaving the District Attorney’s Office in 2018, Mr. Hohl ran his own practice, focusing mainly on criminal defense. As a defense attorney, Mr. Hohl worked on cases ranging from misdemeanors to felonies.

Prior to his work at the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Hohl obtained his law degree at South Texas College of Law in downtown Houston where he participated in their Mock Trial Program. Mr. Hohl was selected for the Order of Barristers for his work in advocacy and was asked to return to South Texas as an Adjunct Professor, teaching trial skills. During national competitions, Mr. Hohl received an Exceptional Advocate Award, was a member of the Championship team at the Regional National Trial Competition and was chosen to represent South Texas in the Baylor Top Gun Mock Trial Competition. Within South Texas, Mr. Hohl was a member of the Championship team in the T. Gerald Treece Summer Academy Mock Trial Tournament.

Outside of work, Mr. Hohl enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two kids and wrangling their three dogs, two terriers and a Great Dane.
